As well as absence management edays offers a complete workforce management software platform; absence management is the foundation, but the platform extends well beyond it. Alongside absence tracking, Bradford Factor management and return to work workflows, edays includes time and attendance management (clocking in and out, online timesheets, project time tracking and EU Working Time Directive compliance), workforce scheduling (drag-and-drop rota management, skills-based shift assignment and fatigue management rules), leave management, core HR tools (employee directory, document management and workflow automation), a mobile app and People Insights analytics. Everything connects in one platform so absence, leave and time data are always in sync, and payroll always receives accurate, reconciled figures without manual intervention.

We focus on providing the best absence management, leave management and time and attendance solutions for your organisation. We’ll listen to your requirements and offer a best-in-class solution with more functionality compared to any other HR system providers. Our system is packed with features you won’t find anywhere else – helping you to manage absence, leave and time in more detailed, customisable ways that suit your organisation.

Yes, edays offer clocking in functionality. Employees can clock in and clock out of work via desktop or mobile app in just a few taps. Our refreshable, printable QR codes can be placed in different locations so that employees can ‘clock in’ to a certain area, task or activity. Visit our clock in app page to learn more.

Yes, with edays time & attendance software, employees are able to create online timesheets on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. These can then be sent for approval to managers, who can also run reports on working hours in their teams.   Overtime can also be tracked, and mandatory breaks can be enforced.   edays timesheet software also provides the ability to assign working hours to different projects and activities, for a clear picture on how time is spent in your organisation.

edays time & attendance software is a module that enables organisations to record employee working hours. The software consists of various elements – including the ability to clock in and out, either via desktop or mobile app. Refreshable, printable QR codes can also be placed in different locations and by scanning them, employees can clock in to a certain area or task.   Our time tracking software also includes the ability to create and submit online timesheets on a weekly or monthly basis. Timesheets can be submitted to line managers for approval, and reported on on a weekly or monthly basis. Projects, activities or tasks can be assigned to timesheets, so managers can see how much time has been spent on different work throughout a day, week or month. The software also allows managers to enforce mandatory breaks, and overtime can be logged within the system too. Find out more about our time & attendance software here.

Yes. If enabled, edays automatically calculates an ongoing Bradford Factor score for every employee, and if turned on, can display live scores on individual profiles. If you do not use the Bradford Factor, this feature can be turned off at the click of a button. Try our Bradford Factor Calculator here.

Yes. edays allows you to track any type of planned (e.g. holidays, maternity leave, medical appointments, business trips, time off in lieu (TOIL), etc.) or unplanned absence (e.g. sickness, compassionate leave, unpaid leave, etc.) in a single system. You can also create custom absence types specific to your organisation, such as wellbeing leave, and define rules for how these are to be used and recorded. Learn more about our absence management software.

The return to work process is made faster and more efficient with edays. A reason can be logged alongside an individual’s sickness absence, and for UK employees, relevant NHS guidance can be forwarded on to them to aid in their recovery (see more on our NHS Portal here). You can automatically send a return to work form to an employee who is returning from sickness absence. This is then stored in the employee’s details in edays, alongside any doctor’s fit notes or medical certificates that may be required. Before conducting return to work interviews, managers and HR can review the employee’s records and view any previous absences to be fully equipped ahead of the individual’s return.

edays supports all custom absence types, allowing you to add as many types as you like. You also have the ability to define rules for how these are to be used and managed. Visit our leave management system page to find out more.

Yes. You can configure system alerts to trigger if specific absence conditions are exceeded and automatically notify specified individuals via email immediately. Find out more about the edays sickness tracker.

Yes. As a cloud-based system, edays can be accessed 24/7 meaning employees always have access to their absence records and can check their entitlement through our annual leave tracker. And, authorised users can export specific absence data from the system at any time.

Yes. edays allows you to configure all absence types to be recorded in hours, days or half-days, with customisable settings for different working patterns (i.e. shift work, part-time employees, etc.) Find out more about our staff holiday management features.

Absenteeism in the workplace refers to reocurring absences over a period of time. The causes of absenteeism are varied and are sometimes difficult to identify. And without robust absence tracking methods in place, it becomes more challenging to spot too. Having a clear absence management policy, coupled with efficient absence tracking will provide more visibility and a better understanding of absenteeism in the workplace, empowering people managers to take the next steps in addressing the issue. Find out more about the causes of absenteeism and how to reduce it here.

Absence reporting is important because it provides HR teams with an overall picture of how often absence is occurring in the workplace. Absences can affect productivity and output, add extra strain on individuals or teams that are having to cover, and be an expensive cost to an organisation. Therefore knowing exactly how absence is impacting an organisation can help to empower HR and people managers to address any issues and provide additional employee support and ensure better resource planning.

An absence report provides an overview of absences that have occurred in the workplace. It may be a report on an individual employee, a team, a site, a department or an entire organisation. Absence reporting provides details of the number of absences that have happened during a set time period and the reasons for those absences i.e. sickness and/or the type of sickness. An absence report might also include an absence rate which can be compared with the average absence rate in a particular industry or against the national average.

We have a number of integration options. We have some out-of-the-box solutions with our partners, or you can use an SFTP or our API for more bespoke options. An SFTP (secure file transfer protocol) is an easy way to feed data from one system to another, while our API unlocks plenty of options for how two systems talk to each other.

Yes, the edays time tracking module can integrate with clocking devices. The API endpoints have been created to work with physical hardware, so that you can still use these for access and entry, while feeding the data into edays. We can either connect with your existing hardware, or you can purchase the hardware through one of our partners.

Yes, edays has an API that can be used to connect with many of your other platforms or software solutions. This makes the edays solution even more flexible and helps it to work more seamlessly in your tech stack.
