NHS guidance and advice delivered straight to the employee

When an employee calls in sick, managers can enter a reason for the absence. From this, NHS resources will be readily available to send to UK employees, providing them with helpful advice for rest and recovery.

Here’s how it works:

  • Managers can easily log sickness absence, along with a reason for the absence
  • edays pulls information from the NHS website, for a plethora of common illnesses
  • Helpful advice can be sent to UK employees, helping them to feel supported
  • The NHS portal can be accessed at any time within edays, to be browsed at a user’s leisure
  • edays enables organisation’s to link to their own Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), or other wellbeing resources

TESTIMONIALS

Utilising the NHS Portal for a proactive approach to absence management

“edays has enabled us to follow processes more rigorously and a big benefit is the visibility of absence throughout the organisation. The reporting functionality is used to show clearly which departments need to focus on employee engagement and wellbeing when it comes to sickness absence. It has also allowed us to keep on top of the holiday bottleneck and ensure that we have a smoother flow of absence throughout the year which is much easier to manage.”

“The clear UI, scalable structure, concise reporting, and completeness of the package along with its mobile integration and understanding of company structures made edays stand out from the competition. The price was right, and the system was perfect for our requirements. Gone are the paper forms, inaccurate reporting, and confusing hours spent rummaging through half dog-eaten paper trails. We now have an accessible, single-point-of-truth for all of our absences across the company. Managers can administer and oversee/audit absence much more thoroughly and responsively.”

“edays has made annual leave and TOIL management significantly easier for both team members and managers. It’s flexible enough to allow for hourly or daily recording of leave, which is ideal for our departments. It has replaced a number of separate and inconsistent team spreadsheets stored on shared drives, resulting in a central, consistent and manageable leave and absence system.”

The help desk at edays is also excellent and always reply with accurate help straight away. Whenever I meet other HR professionals I always recommend edays if they want an effective holiday tracker system.”

Yes, edays offer clocking in functionality. Employees can clock in and clock out of work via desktop or mobile app in just a few taps. Our refreshable, printable QR codes can be placed in different locations so that employees can ‘clock in’ to a certain area, task or activity. Visit our clock in app page to learn more.

Yes, with edays time & attendance software, employees are able to create online timesheets on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. These can then be sent for approval to managers, who can also run reports on working hours in their teams.   Overtime can also be tracked, and mandatory breaks can be enforced.   edays timesheet software also provides the ability to assign working hours to different projects and activities, for a clear picture on how time is spent in your organisation.

edays time & attendance software is a module that enables organisations to record employee working hours. The software consists of various elements – including the ability to clock in and out, either via desktop or mobile app. Refreshable, printable QR codes can also be placed in different locations and by scanning them, employees can clock in to a certain area or task.   Our time tracking software also includes the ability to create and submit online timesheets on a weekly or monthly basis. Timesheets can be submitted to line managers for approval, and reported on on a weekly or monthly basis. Projects, activities or tasks can be assigned to timesheets, so managers can see how much time has been spent on different work throughout a day, week or month. The software also allows managers to enforce mandatory breaks, and overtime can be logged within the system too. Find out more about our time & attendance software here.

Yes. edays allows you to track any type of planned (e.g. holidays, maternity leave, medical appointments, business trips, time off in lieu (TOIL), etc.) or unplanned absence (e.g. sickness, compassionate leave, unpaid leave, etc.) in a single system. The return to work process is made faster and more efficient with edays. A reason can be logged alongside an individual’s sickness absence, and for UK employees, relevant NHS guidance can be forwarded on to them to aid in their recovery (see more on our NHS Portal here). You can automatically send a return to work form to an employee who is returning from sickness absence. This is then stored in the employee’s details in edays, alongside any doctor’s fit notes or medical certificates that may be required. Before conducting return to work interviews, managers and HR can review the employee’s records and view any previous absences to be fully equipped ahead of the individual’s return.

edays supports all custom absence types, allowing you to add as many types as you like. You also have the ability to define rules for how these are to be used and managed. Visit our leave management system page to find out more.
